Southern end of The Esplanade, Balmoral Beach, Mosman, nearest intersection Coronation Avenue.
Council metered parking commences at 8am, approx. $8.00 for the race period. You may need to allow more for the post race price presentation. Be sure to bring enough gold coins to pay for your parking. The event organisers won't be able to provide change for the meters.

6.30 am to 7:30 am - Please make sure you come and register nice and early. We don't want any a last minute rushing. |

7.45 am - There are separate race briefings for the race events, Short and Long Courses. |

Start format will be a rolling mass start. (lead by a safety craft)
NOTE: any craft that breaks a race start for any reason will be instantly disqualified, without question, no excuses. If you break the start and try to cheat, you will be disqualified on the spot and pulled out of the race immediately for safety reasons. We want good clean safe starts for everyone, and anyone who puts the safety of the race and race entrants at risk will be pulled from the race immediately.

NOTE: Plastic "sit on top" recreational kayaks can only enter the Short Course.

Short and Long Courses start and finish at Balmoral Beach (south end by the sailing club). Details of each course are shown below with their own course maps. |

| Presentation: |
Approx. 9.30am.
There are medals presented to 1st, 2nd and 3rd across the line in the long and short courses and certificates for the top three places in each category. There are prizes sponsored by Bing Lee, LG, Epic Kayaks, Garmin, Unleash Compression Suits, and Prokayaks. These are lucky draw prizes and you have to be present at the time the prize is drawn to win. If you are not present, the prize will be re-drawn until won.

| If there are fewer than 3 entrants to a category, they will be entered in the category below in age group. |

| Singlets: |
Entrants will be issued with one Series race "singlet" which must be worn during the race. Please remember to bring your singlet. The cost of a second singlet is $15. |

| Leg ropes: |
All Surfski, OC, SUP and Long board ( aka Prone ) paddlers must have a leg rope available for wearing on the day. The Race Director will decide on the day if leg ropes must be worn. |

| PFDs: |
All sea kayak paddlers must have a Personal Flotation Device ( aka PFD / Life Vest ) available for use on the day. The Race Director will decide whether PFD's must be worn for the race. |

| Scrutineering: |
If there is any question regarding the safety of an entrant’s craft, a scrutineer may choose to review your craft's "sea worthiness" prior to allowing you to race. If a craft or paddler is deemed to not be suitable or fit to race, the Race Directors requirements will be adhered to without question. |

| Safety Boats: |
There will be Rescue Craft along the course, but it is at all times entirely the responsibility of each and every entrant to ensure that he or she is fit and able to complete the race. |

| Cancellation: |
The Race Director may reject any entry to the race at any time for any reason they see fit, including medical and fitness conditions, non-compliance with Race Organisers directions or unsportsmanlike behaviour. Entry to any of the Sydney Harbour Challenge race events is at all times entirely at the Race Directors discretion. |

| Risk: |
This is a demanding event. The event organisers cannot guarantee your safety. Possible risks include injury and/or drowning, due to being hit by other persons, objects or boats, other hazards include rocks, blue bottles, stingrays and sharks. Competitors enter at their own personal risk and are responsible for their own physical condition. |

| Series Pointscore: |
There is a running HRI Series point score for all HRI events. It can be found under "Results" on the Harbour Racing Incorporated website. It is updated after each event. |
