Kate McGrath’s  outstanding result at Rose Bay

The author apologies to Kate McGrath for overlooking  her outstanding result in the Rose Bay leg of the Harbour Racing series. The original ‘write up’ of the event attributed  the ‘open women’s division’ winner to Rachelle Irving , which was correct at the time of writing but the author missed the simply phenomenal result of Kate McGrath, who was the first woman across the line putting almost 10mins on Rachelle. A minor registration mix-up had Kate entered into an older age group but the result has now been officially corrected. Kate’s time of 1hr 10m 47sec placed her 22nd outright of 108 starters, beating all the women, dozens of men and even a few doubles.  Well done Kate – hope to see you at the last event for 2010 at Pittwater.
